Our pleated skirts are more of an ALINE shape, (rather than the FIT N FLARE year round). It is for this reason that they appear longer (even if measuring the same) because there is no flare. It is also for this reason that the waist size appears a little bigger (even though our YEAR ROUNDS stretch to the same size). LENGTHS: Extra Short
