An Edwardian Freestanding Four Poster Bed Still Life it was a perfect familyA huge Edwardian freestanding chinoiserie lacquered four poster bed, circa 1920. This freestanding bed could go in the centre of a room or against a wall, as it has identical decoration on both front and back of the headboard. This is very unusual and was probably commissioned for the centre of a room. On the headboard the chinoiserie trellis work decoration is topped with a pagoda and turned finials.
