He was first signed to RCA Victor in 1963 after honing his skills in the Greenwich Village cafe scene with contemporaries including Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. He continues to tour and release albums to this day and won his 8th Grammy Award in 2009 for the album 'Senor Bolero'.
