FLORIDA 2x3 FT FLAG beehive state ★ Pole is 1 inch. 2x3 FT FLORIDA Flag with Brass Grommets. In 1868, the Flag of Florida was designed with the State Seal in the centre of a white flag. Decades later, in 1900, a bold red saltire (diagonal cross) was added to the background of the flag, reportedly so it would not in any way resemble a symbol of surrender. Over the years the Flag has been modified to incorporate revised State Seals. The Florida Flag now includes the current State Seal, superimposed in
