Germany, Wehrmacht. A Spanish Cross, Bronze Grade With Swords Hold Officer Commanding at Seaford(Spanienkreuz in Bronze mit Schwertern). Instituted 14 April 1939. (1939 issue). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and bearing a central mobile swastika within dual rings, with crossed swords through the centerpiece, the swords overlaid by raised Wehrmacht eagles clutching mobile swastikas, the wings of the eagles joining the quadrants of each arm, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and tapering
