South Korea, Republic. An Order of Military Merit, IV. Class “Hwarang” Breast Badge Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic slotted white doeskin wool medal(). Instituted October 18th, 1950. Constructed of bronze gilt, consisting of a stylized snowflake with six white enameled arms, with a central insignia constructed of pale blue, orange, and red enamels, the reverse inscribed Hwarang Military Merit Medal in Korean script, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 47. 7 mm (w) x 49. 2 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
