Carved from one piece of Granite there is considerable erosion and wear. The Nandi bull is a symbol of Lord Shiva. The Nandi is usually depicted crouching, often housed in a small pavilion at the entrance of every Shiva temple. There is some old damage to one side of the face. A similar example can be found in the British Museum
