Stick Door Panel From Jaisalmer - 19th Century Door Coffee Tables it brings warmthThis Indian stick door dates to the 19th century and would have come from the home of the desert dwelling tribes of Western Rajasthan in their buildings who made their homes of mud and clay. Wood is very scarce in the desert & doors, window shutters and furniture were made of sticks harvested from the Kair tree (Capparis decidua). The sticks are then riveted together with iron fittings. Hung on a wall they make stunning and unique pieces of wall art.
