I believe the stones are glass, but carefully crafted to resemble the semi precious stone carnelian cornelian. The earrings are large and absolutely stunning with the most beautiful banded swirls within the glass. They fasten with secure hinged clips. On the part of the clips that bends round, each is stamped 'GES
