1953 VW Beetle Zwitter (Split Window) the Porter Cab received theImmaculately restored Zwitter Beetle. The Volkswagen Beetle Zwitter is the rarest of Beetles, only being produced from 1952 1953. The German word zwitter means hermaphrodite hybrid, referencing the part oval and part split window on the rear of the vehicle. The Zwitter was only produced for 6 months, as VW was using up the last of the remaining split window shells while already fitting the new parts from the next generation of Beetle.
