The Lampampe lamp forms part of a series of lamps designed by Ingo Maurer in the 1970s and 1980s, all crafted from Japanese paper in simple forms. Following a rise in the use of plastic as a material, Maurer's collection signifies a desire to return to natural materials. For Lampapme, Maurer took the form of a conventional lamp and crafted it entirely from Japanese paper, resulting in a lamp that sits at the
