These golden balls hang in bunches among soft silver green leaves contrasted by the charcoal black tree bark. This skein is a tricolour dip of unmordanted (untreated) wattle flowers, copper (green) and iron (dark charcoal) mordants that correlate with the botanical colours of these Acacia natives in the Queensland winter.
