Kang tables were used on either side of the kang, a raised stone platform in wealthy Chinese homes used as a bed. Traditionally the kang was heated in winter. The original red lacquer & paintwork still remains and it has beautiful floral carvings These make great tables for the end of a bed or for a small T. V or stereo system.
