This Caol Ila was aged in a very old cask from the historic  Sherry Bodega - Gonzalo and Byass

I enjoyed this and the latest special edition Bourbon cask release the most but only had room in my suitcase for one bottle as I already had several other bottles to bring back

You can play and have fun for hours with this malt

Dry earthy peat smoke and charred oak immediately come through on the nose

Ben Nevis 27y/o 1997 Sherry Hogshead #62 The Whisky Jury 46.5%ABV 15ml/ 30ml Scotland This Caol Ila was agedGreat complex and refined sherried Ben Nevis from the Whisky Jury quite different to the sister cask #52 that I got earlier more elegant and higher abv carries slightly more flavour at the finish although 52 is a bit funkier and dirtier which some people love.
