Allegro flowers The divine perfection of theAllegro, oil on canvas, 170 x 110 x 3 cm I lay here in the grass. Summer sun warms my skin. A haze of floral colour dances in the breeze, moving in time to a Summer Song. Allegro Inspired by the beauty of a wild summer hillside festooned with wild flowers, I wanted to create a painting which brought summer in to the home on the darkest of winter days. I have kept the detail of the painting loose to suggest the movement of the flowers in the breeze.
