Blue Anodised Niobium Crystal and Rutilated Silver Brooch Box the ring is anodised toThis statement brooch was made in sterling silver and anodised blue niobium, with a steel pin. Inspired by crystal facets and slender, needle like crystals known as "Acicular", as seen in rutilated quartz. The crystal shape was made using the technique "chasing and repouss" from a sheet of niobium, which was then anodised using electricity to create the iridescent colour. Materials: Niobium, sterling silver, steel. Hallmarked at the Sheffield Assay
