Summers, R.W. – Model 8689 Double material spring clipDescription Particulars For your consideration is an R. W. Summers Model 8689 bamboo fly rod 8 6 8 9 wt. Serial no. 10397. The rod is in excellent original condition though there are a few minor scuffs in the varnish. One tip section was cracked and repaired by Bob Summers with a 1 3 8 wrap. At this time he made a third tip section. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful darkly flamed bamboo is complemented by translucent caramel wraps
