(Sofia Badaoui) "Sauvage" Fred Stonehouse Working primarily in traditional printmakingSiroua wool and natural dyes sourced in the region of Taznakht, Morocco 80" x 43" Sofia Badaoui grew up with one foot in France and the other in Morocco. As an artist, she has created CALIKESH, a project that draws from thousands of years of tradition, while envisioned for contemporary spaces. Each rug is designed in Badaoui's studio in Yucca Valley California. The colors are made using painstakingly harvested local Moroccan dyes such as saffron, as
