When this plant flowered it was obvious to us that it was a hybrid and we consulted with Harry Luther who agreed that it was likely a caput-medusae x brachycaulos natural hybrid

Tillandsia 'Jackie Giant' Size:Specimen armed with heavy black spinesWe found this plant growing in our bench of Tillandisa 'Jackie Loinaz' but quickly realized it's significantly larger. We don't know for sure but it seems to be a giant grower of the same cross, concolor x capitata Rubra.
