1944 - S Australian Three Pence - 92.5% Silver - No Serif on Mintmark Error Coloured John Paul YoungA "no serif on mintmark coin" refers to a coin where the mintmark letter, usually indicating which mint produced it, lacks the small decorative lines at the end of its strokes, meaning it has a "sans serif" design, giving the letter a clean, unadorned appearance compared to a standard serifed mintmark.
