The japanned decoration probably later as evidenced by relocation of drawer hardware. Constructed of pine in two sections, the upper section with a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing three shelves; the lower section with a slant front enclosing drawers and pigeonholes and a maroon leather writing surface, above four full
